Also, I was all in until you said, "But you probably should" 😂 ... I am not a morning person but discipline is necessary and I will become a morning person!
I'm currently creating my own 30 day journey for April and waking up earlier is part of my plan...pray for me as I try this new lifestyle. And!! I'm looking forward to the new perspective of, "The best part about waking up early is the feeling of getting to noon and thinking, “wow, it’s only noon?” – instead of, “ugh, it’s noon already!”
Thanks for sharing, Erin!

Hahaha you were tapped out from the title!! lol. Yeah sometimes it's those little shifts that make all the difference. So glad you enjoyed this post Alexis!! xx
I’ve never been a morning person up until recently (2 years ago) when I started my own business and I understood there are nit enough hours in the day. I love the 1000 minute rule. Definitely puts time into perspective
I've always been a morning person and always been a 5 am kinda gal. My discipline issues arise when I don't have work or things planned for the morning, and then I wake up and scroll. I had a hang over my life and time when I was doing #75Hard, but a whole lot of life happened, including a lot of close deaths. So now that I've healed and given myself grace, I need to get back to waking up and starting the day immediately, instead of wasting my dollars on TikTok lol
PS, I have been around since early 2019/late 2018 on YouTube and I love you on Substack. It just feels right up your alley! Can't wait till you celebrate 1000 paid subs soon xx
Omg same! I have the worse afternoon crash when I don’t get enough sleep! lol. But I try to push through and just go to bed earlier instead of napping and then not being sleepy for bed.
As a mom of 4 I’ve woken up as early as 3 am. This gives me 3 to 4 hours of solid think time, quiet, devotional, etc. I usually end up taking an afternoon nap which isn’t a biggie since I start winding down mentally around 2:30/3 anyway.
Wow, this is so timely! I was literally just looking up how to wake up as early as a night owl YESTERDAY! I have had insomnia since I was young and use to feel like I thrived as a night owl. But now as a mom of a teenager and a 1 year old who is building a business while working from home, it is just not working for me any more. I crave time for me to have to myself and waking up earlier seems like the only option. There is resistance because I hate the optics and self-righteousness that morning people tend to possess and share with the world (cue eye-roll). But your outlook has been really helpful for me. I despise the notion that waking up early is the only way to be successful, nevertheless, my goal is to also just become more disciplined with my time. So thank you for this! ^_^
Yes!! I totally agree. I feel like once you define WHY it makes sense to you, then it makes it easier to commit to. Loosely doing it simply because "successful people do it" is not enough. So happy you enjoyed! xx
Omg so happy you loved listening!! It's a peach one by Yogi. It's not too too bad, but it ain't too good either. But what detox tea is?! I'm on the hunt lol.
Detox drink ... "But it was nasty" lolololol

Wait a second... I thought the best part of waking up was Folgers in your cup!
I know I need to get up early and go to bed earlier. This is the conviction I need lol
This was so engaging to listen to and you’ve inspired me to wake up early!

I agree 5 am makes a difference. I was so fit then. But I get so tired mid day because I don’t like to go to bed. Lol.
