Voiceover is above if you want to hear my antics and my attempt at an African accent lol.
I had this big epiphany that if I don’t kick it into high gear quickly, I will not hit my goal of becoming a millionaire by the end of this year.
Remind me again why I decided to pursue this goal publicly? The pressure is getting worser. (I know you’ve seen that video — it’s like 5 seconds, so please watch it and you’ll understand my awful impression in the voiceover).
Okay so anyway, yesterday I had a call with my project manager and dear friend, Rima. We were planning a live masterclass that I’m excited to host in the next month-ish for my paid Substack subscribers. (Will share more on that soon).
I told her that I don’t want this to be another how to become a full time creator or how to grow your channel to X amount of subscribers masterclass.
Believe it or not, I’m tired of teaching.
Whew. There. I said it.
This doesn’t mean that I’ll stop providing educational content. But it does mean that I’m excited for a challenge to anchor my content less in education and more in transparency.
I want my community to meet me where I am. My deepest desire is to gather high-caliber women who are in a transitioning period just like myself. Women who are setting big scary goals; who are becoming more empowered to be exactly who they are; who are far beyond where they thought they’d be but nowhere near where they’re destined to go.
But like… howww?!
I’m so used to teaching in a step-by-step format. At this point, my brain solely functions in how-tos and lists.
So, back to my call with Rima. We were trying to decide what the masterclass should be about. She started asking me a series of questions that led to us discussing my ideal income streams.
And that’s when I realized, there needs to be a big shift in my approach to business, because if not — I won’t hit the goal.
But the thing is, I don’t want to haphazardly do anything out of pressure. I want to make my million in a sustainable way.
So I started throwing a bunch of thoughts out:
Should I focus on scaling my products and then shift my personal brand content into “the girl growing the product business”? But do I even want Top 3 to be my MAIN focal point? Love her, but idk.
Or do I want to focus on growing my personal brand and then developing a signature offer based on the direction I shift into? But like, when will I feel comfortable making that decision? Time is ticking.
Do I want to start a social media marketing agency? This would be a high-ticket offer where I only need to convert 7-10 clients on retainer to hit $1 million in the year. But I’d need to scale quickly and hire an incredible team. Do I want to manage a team?
Do I want to focus on growing my paid Substack? This would be a low ticket offer, but I’d need to convert a ton of readers in order to have a decent revenue stream. I would love to run masterclasses and drop an exclusive podcast in my paid— but growing a newsletter takes TIME.
So that’s where I’m at with the shift.
Simply put, I don’t have all the answers. And honestly, typing this newsletter with no real tangible takeaways makes me feel like it’s not substantive enough. (I’m trying to break out of my shell here!) I do know that whatever I choose, it will be good. I will do it in excellence because that’s who I am and that’s the only thing I have control of.
Q1 is over and I need to step into new territory in order to create new results. All of these options could definitely get me to $1M+ this year. It’s really a matter of believing it can happen and doing what it takes to make it happen.
I want your help.
Please let me know what topic you’d love me to do a masterclass on? My paid subscribers are my cousins at this point and I need to show y’all a good time! I’m ideating and am SUPER open to any input! So let’s powwow in the comments.
Which millionaire route would you take out of the 4 options I shared?! They all sound absolutely insane… but exciting.
In love & creativity,
Erin xx

I share my experience on how I’m evolving as a personal brand — what to do when you feel like your personal brand no longer aligns with who you are, what makes up a strong personal brand, and some examples of successful businesses that are rooted in a personal brands. It’s a good one yallll!
(Very chit-chatty and informal so you can throw it on in the background while working or cooking!)
In my experience, motherhood always changes you whether it’s baby 1 or baby 3. There’s this internal awakening, if you will. Here’s a couple of things I think might help you… 1) Pray about it. Getting input is good, but sometimes it makes things more murky. 2) Don’t confuse your brand with your offers. You’ve already built a personal brand based on your unique experience and perspective. 3) Think in terms of seasons vs. I’m making a long term decision. This is where I’m at right now because I can get stuck in analysis paralysis because I think whatever I decide it has to be the forever thing, but that isn’t true. It can just be what makes sense for this season of my life. 4) Lastly, when you’re multi-passionate and multi-talented it can be scary picking one thing because of FOMO. So one thing I’m considering is doing is taking a Jenna Kutcher approach… you are the brand, but you have a handful of rotating offers.
Currently in the same boat! And learning towards building something apart from my "personal brand" and letting my personal brand just be an outpouring of my life, not something to be monetized. So, I guess that's more #3 in the above.
