One year. One million dollars. Can I do it?
It sounds insane — cause it is.
But I had 3 goals that I wanted to hit by the time I turned 30.
Start a family. ✅
Pay off student loans. ✅
Be a millionaire.
I’ve accomplished two of the three. And while technically my business has grossed well over 1 million dollars, I don’t get paid a million-dollar salary. And honey, that’s where I’m trying to get.
Now here’s the thing — I had to be SO for real with myself because the perfectionist in me still wants to hit it by the time I turn 30. But, I’ll be 30 in less than one month (June 16th). And I’m 7 months pregnant lol. So… the realist in me is considering this is my yearlong extension.
Millionaire by 31.
More money, less problems.
I’m not one of those people who feels like wanting more money is shallow. I don’t think wanting more of anything in life is shallow. It’s my life. Money gives access — not just to things, but to choices. So, I’m resisting any projected shame or guilt for believing that prosperity is bad.
It’s not about age or rushing.
Someone commented this on my YouTube video. I always find it interesting (not really) that as soon as you claim more for yourself, people try to box you in and sugarcoat it by saying that you aren’t enjoying where you currently are in life.
My response: There is no rush. But it's certainly amazing how much your life can transform when you take one year to deeply focus. This video is not about rushing or not enjoying where I am. In fact, it's quite the opposite. It's about being accountable. There is always space to enjoy where you are in life, while still wanting more. And that's where I am. I'm doing this BECAUSE I love my life so much and I want to experience that joy on a new level. Thankfully this is my life, and I have the freedom to choose the pace and way in which I live it.
I do not measure my value by money or a deadline. God put this desire in my heart, and for me to not believe that it can happen would simply be doubting His power.
Comfort is the thief of progress.
There’s nothing wrong with being comfy in life. I love my life. But everyone’s comfort threshold is different — mine happens to be a lot higher than where I currently am. I’m simply ready for more, and because of that, where I am has become uncomfortable. I realized a brutal truth: Reaching a higher level of success is so much harder once you’ve had a taste of it.
Most people stop trying before they ever reach their fullest potential, simply because they got too comfortable with where they are. And this isn’t just about making money. This goes for health, fitness, relationships, productivity, breaking generational cycles, and more.
Mindset shift: Making money is easy.
I’ve never been a fan of accepting things as “hard.” Hard is subjective. Believing that something will be hard takes just as much effort as believing that it will be easy.
If you ask a billionaire if making money is hard, their answer would likely be no. If you ask a fitness instructor if getting in shape is hard… If you ask a musician if playing an instrument is hard… If you ask a landscaper if cutting grass is hard…
You see where I’m going with this? lol
I have such radical faith that what I want in life will come to me. Building a skill is as hard or easy as you believe it to be. Does this mean it won’t possibly come with challenges? No.
Pray. And then act as if it’s already done.
Walking by faith means walking in God’s promises as if they are already done. I love this video by my girl, Brooke, who’s a prayer-warrior and business baddie! This prayer is so encouraging and has been pivotal in positioning my spirit to always be Christ-led when setting new goals.
Take a listen —
Who’s ready for the challenge?!
I’m so excited to be doing this out loud. It’s scary but it makes it so much more fun! I’m kicking off my journey by listening to Rachel Rodger’s Audible Exclusive called Plan Your Year like a Millionaire. It’s only 2 hours long, but it is SOOOO good. I’ll be vlogging my experiences of putting some of her tools to practice.
Let me know if you wanna join in! Your goal doesn’t have to be to make a million+ dollars. It can be any big goal you want to reach within one year: health, big purchase, breaking a bad habit… anything.
Comment your goal so we can all hold each other accountable and start creating a community around this challenge! SO excited to share tons of BTS, resources I’m loving, challenges I’m facing, especially as I navigate this goal alongside motherhood. Get ready for a RIDE!

Loved your video! You mentioned a workbook from Rachel Rodgers, can you send a link to download? I have the book and just downloaded the audible but can't find the worksheet you are using from her. My Goal is to get to my first 250K in one year!
Thank you for all your encouragement!
Paying off the rest of our debt in one year! Like you said here I got comfortable after paying off credit card debt. Student loans are next! Paying em off and not going back!
