I am still in shock that I pushed out a little human. Thee most perfect little human, btw.
River Psalm White.
Her name is so special because we wanted it to mean something that she will one day embody.
River — She will flow through life and be strong in the direction she’s going.
Psalm — Psalm 46:4 There’s a river whose streams make glad the city of God, the holy dwelling places of the Most High. God is in the midst of her, she will not be moved; God will help her when the morning dawns.
I genuinely thought my husband would hate the name River when I initially told him (like he did all the other names I suggested lol). But to my surprise, he loved it! We had actually loved the name Psalm for a middle name before Cameron found the scripture above. So he read the whole book of Psalms and when he saw that scripture, we knew it was a sign from The Lord that that was her name!
It fits her perfectly.
The day I went into labor I was SO excited because I was absolutely over being pregnant. My belly was huge. I was always out of breath. I was tired of being tired of being tired.
My labor and delivery was an amazinggg experience. We share the entire play-by-play in our latest Sips of Success podcast ep!
Now, here I am. With a whole new name and role: Mommy.
It makes me emotional that I have a little girl who will look to me for guidance through life. Who I get to love with everything I have. Who I get to share special mommy-daughter moments with. Who I get to be the first example of womanhood for.
Thank God for blessing me with a daughter! My Rivy.
I am officially back to work and it has taken on a whole new purpose.
I thought I loved working before. But while I was off, I was missing work more than I expected. Not just because I love what I do, but because I have a new reason to do it. So, things are about to turn up several notches. Of course I took time to rest, heal and enjoy my baby — but I’m ready.
Simply put, Millionaire in a Year is still in full effect! Mama is on the move. We got work to do.
In love & creativity,
Erin
Congratulations and WELCOME TO MOTHERHOOD! I'm a new FTM as well and it's been such a beautiful challenge that I wouldn't trade for anything! Her name is STRONG! I love it. Congrats again - nothing will ever be the same. And that's the absolute blessing!
Congratulations! Fellow FTM here and I can totally relate to missing work because now there’s a greater purpose behind it. She is beautiful and I love her name! Take care of yourself too! I’m excited to journey with you!
